We will start our tour at "Info Point" location, 8594, Bulevardi Zogu i Pare, Shkoder to collect our bicycles for the day's adventure. We begin our day, pedaling through picturesque landscapes and tranquil villages on our way to Mesi Bridge. The fresh morning air and stunning views of the countryside invigorate us as we make our way towards our first destination. Excited and ready to explore, we set off on our journey through the scenic countryside.
09:30AM - Mesi Bridge
Arriving at Mesi Bridge, we are captivated by its ancient charm and architectural beauty. We take our time to explore the bridge and its surroundings, marveling at the craftsmanship and history that it represents.
With its panoramic views of the Kir River and surrounding countryside, Mesi Bridge provides the perfect backdrop for photos and reflection.
10:00AM - Drishti Castle
After Mesi Bridge, we'll continue our bike tour, exploring more of Drisht Castle (Albanian: Kalaja e Drishtit), a ruined fortress overlooking the modern Albanian village of Drisht. The earliest remnants of fortifications date back to the late Neolithic era. By the 9th century, it was integrated into the defenses of the Zeta principality.
11:00PM - Picnic Time
Finding a peaceful spot along the route, we stop for a picnic lunch surrounded by nature's beauty.
We unpack our picnic supplies and savor delicious food and refreshing drinks, feeling grateful for the opportunity to connect with nature and each other. With the sound of the river flowing nearby and the warmth of the sun on our faces, we enjoy a leisurely break before continuing our journey.
14:00PM - Return to City Center
Reluctantly leaving our picnic spot, we begin our journey back to Shkodër City, arriving back at starting point, where we return our bicycles.
