Transport by Air

When it comes to air transport, the city itself does not have a commercial airport. 

Tirana International Airport Nene Tereza (TIA): Is the nearest airport to Shkoder in Albania, also known as Rinas International Airport, which is located near the capital city of Tirana. The distance from Shkoder to Tirana Airport is approximately 90km and the journey by road can take around 1hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Potgorica Airport (TGD): is located around 60km east of Shkoder, across the border in Montenegro, Podgorica Airport is a feasible alternative for travelers.

Tivat Airport (TIV): is also located in Montenegro, around 115km southwest of Shkoder. It might be convenient for travelers headed to coastal destinations during the tourist season.
